The organization selected for this project is the Randolph Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois. Located in the Englewood community,the poorest, most crime-ridden area,in the city of Chicago, Randolph's largely African-American student population is served by an intergrated staff lead by an innovative,visionary energetic principal. I would like to address a more efficient use of technology in the building.
There are currently two stationary computer labs along with three mobile labs, a library with computers, two Smartboards, several digital projectors, several Elmos,classroom listening centers, televisions with DVD-VCR combos.Camcorders and digital camera are available for teacher use. The school website is in progress.My focus will be professional development for staff to more efficiently integrate technology into curriculum.
